Our Vuba Resin Bound Training Courses have been a Huge Success!
The resin bound training courses came about from the ever increasing demand for training from our DIY customers, and for Approved Contractors from our customers who loved our products but wanted an installation service.
When we eventually relented to the demand to create an Approved Contractors List for our products, we decided we wanted first hand experience of the new guys we were having on board.
And so the resin bound training courses were born! And what a success! Our Spring 2018 graduates have already gone on to install some excellent jobs of their own accord. Take a look at one case study for yourself.

The course is perfect for beginners, but can suit those experienced with resins as well. We give a Holistic Approach the world of Resin Bound Surfacing. Here’s what our course covers:
- Demo of the mixing and application process. Each participant then has the opportunity to mix their own kit of Resinset Resin Bound Surfacing for a partner. And then the partner mixes for the other to trowel apply their own kit on a sample board. Our training coordinator then discusses and demonstrates repair materials and bases.
- We discuss the theory of resin bound surfacing – what surfaces can you apply on? What thickness does resin bound need to be? What temperatures? Can it be wet? We answer all of those questions.
- We then move to a practical driveway setting, and again you gain more hands on experience mixing and applying resin bound systems, bases and our other unique clever resin surfacing products which we are developing!
- Course participants receive official certification including professional photography, a t-shirt for the course, special contractor discount and various other benefits on the day.

The concrete base was laid and left to cure for 1 week. We are often asked how long concrete needs to dry before applying resin bound surfacing, and the answer is when the relative humidity in the concrete drops below 90%, which is typically 1 week.
