Contractor Kit - Rubber Play EPDM 30kg (Playbound)

In stock
Product Code :
V-VS-VPRS-001

The Vuba Contractor Rubber Play EPDM Surfacing Kit contains everything you need for a professional, quality rubber play surfacing installation.

The 30kg kit is easily mixed using a forced action mixer - the volume of a rubber play mix is large because of the low density of the rubber. A forced action mixer can be hired from the Vuba hire fleet of industrial mixing equipment. Please contact us for more details.

We have two types of binder available for your kit, depending on what you would like:

Option 1: Non-UV Stable Single Part Binder - High Elasticity
Option 2: UV Stable Two Part Resin Binder - Medium Elasticity

Where high degrees of flexibility is most important, along with a low cost, then we would recommend the Non-UV Stable Single Part Binder.

For rubber surfacing that is to be used for mainly decorative purposes - such as at golf courses, outside leisure centres, features in a garden, we would recommend the UV Stable Option.

You choose your binder in the product options to the left. Contact us for any further technical support on 01482 778897.

The Contractor kit is 30kg in size:

1 x 4.5kg Resin Binder Kit (Pre-measured to suit)
1 x 25kg EPDM Coloured Rubber Granules (Weighed out in a bag)

There is no requirement for any additional measuring or calculating.

There is two options for the Resin Binder Kit:

Option 1: Non-UV Stable Single Part Binder - High Elasticity
Option 2: UV Stable Two Part Resin Binder - Medium Elasticity

Both binder options provide a good level of 'give' in the final system, however, if flexibility is of utmost importance then we would recommend the Non-UV Stable Single Part Binder.

Coverage Rates for an 30kg Kit:
3m2 - 10mm
2m2 - 15mm
1.5m2 - 20mm
0.75m2 - 30mm

Despite being only 30kg in size, these kits do have a large volume due to the low density of the rubber and permeability of the final Playbound screed.

How to mix and apply this Vuba Playground Rubber Surfacing Kit:

1) Ensure there is a suitable base for the EPDM Rubber, such as a solid surface or our Basebound rubber base.

2) Pour the EPDM Rubber into a Forced Action Mixer.

3) For the UV Stable Binder: Mix both parts separately and pour over the EPDM Rubber. For the Non-UV Binder: Agitate binder and pour over the EPDM Rubber.

4) Pour resin into rotating mixer, and let the mixer run until fully homogenous.

5) Pour out on to the working area, find a level using a screeding bar / straight edge and finish using a clean steel trowel.

TIP: Clean trowel using Vuba Cleaning Solvent to prevent sticking and to aid application.
